Overview

The hotel offers only 9 rooms but all of them are new and shiny. A great location makes this hotel highly desirable for those who would like to be in the heart of the city.  Opened in 2009 this hotel is a new experiment for owners of the “Chateau” restaurant. Hotel guests can easily walk in through the special door on the second floor of the hotel.

The “Gostinny Dvir” hotel is situated in the historical centre of Kharkov and is located on one of the oldest streets of the city. In a walkable distance from the hotel can be found the Kharkiv Opera house, the Philharmonia, the Mirror Stream fountain, Shevchenko park and other  significant sights of the city.

You can start your day with breakfast in the French restaurant "Chateau". For guests of the hotel  breakfast is included in the rate. During the hot summer days you can enjoy a cup of delicious coffee and watch the world go by from the terrace of our restaurant.

Our Review

The rooms are a standard western style as in any big hotel chain you would find in the West. The exterior of the building looks very much out of date which is very common for Ukraine, but the entrance door and everything else inside of the hotel is brand new. The hotel offers 9 comfortable western style rooms (all of them are on the second floor), free Wi-Fi internet, a restaurant on site and a great location in the centre of the city. All the receptionists speak English.

Prices

Standard room – 620 UAH (730 for double occupancy).

Room info: double bed, a/c, LCD-TV, shower cabin, telephone, mini safe, mini bar, sound-proof windows, hairdryer, toiletries, dressing gown and slippers, free wireless internet.

Superior room – 690 UAH (800 for double occupancy).
Superior room is like the standard room but slightly larger.

Juinior Suite – 790 UAH (900 for double occupancy). Third person in room – 1030 UAH.

This room is the same size as superior but also has a pull out sofa for a third person in room

Suite (living room, bedroom) – 1200 UAH (1310 for double occupancy)

“Chateau” restaurant serves European and Ukrainian cuisine. When visited, it was found to be dark, quiet and quite expensive.  There are plenty of other restaurants  nearby.

“Gosninny Dvir” is located just a minute from the Opera house and the Mirror Stream fountain and about 7 minutes walk from University, Academic Beketova and Historical Museum metro stations.
